  • None of my piercings have ever set off a detector at an Airport.

  • @pee same here. But it's still fun watching the older people's reaction as TSA wands you and the locations of the BEEP

    • I know right, always cause for a good laugh, which is awesome since we all get to airports just to hurry up and wait lol...

  • I'm really curious in what the "them" really is. Because at this point it could go either way.

  • I got my piercings after 9/11. They've never set off a metal detector, either at the airport or elsewhere, but then again I always opt-out of the nude-o-scope and get the manual search instead.

    • I always go for the nude-o-scope...being hung like mosquito it confuses the hell out of them.

  • They don't set off the walk through detectors. The wands will pick them up depending on the type of jewelry you have in ;)

  • Every time this would come up to be either approved or disapproved I would crack up. One of the funniest clean ones on here.

  • Actually, some piercings can set them off. Only extreme ones though. It's pretty rare but it does happen. Those who have them typically know and warn people.
