    Go to Home Depot, they'll drill the holes and size the shells for you. They like to get hands on.

    Seashells are fairly brittle. They tend to crack in half if you use a regular drill and bit. According to internet - use a dremel. My other thought is a laser cutter. And yeah, you're going to need three holes. Good luck!
