This was how lots of fires started, decades ago, when lots more people smoked. "Smoking in bed" was listed as the cause of lots of house fires. Don't do that.

Cigs got that "fire safety coating"on them now. Not nearly as common because they will burn out if you're not smoking them
My grandmother makes her own and the pre-made tubes with filters do not have the no burn coating.
