• This doesn't come up often in the US, but gypsy is actually a racial slur against several different oppressed minorities, principally in Eastern Europe (because the Nazis exterminated them from Western Europe). It's along the lines of K*ke, N*gger, or Sp*c. So maybe avoid saying it just because you heard it in a movie but don't know what it means.
