I gave the guy a $20 tip on a $9 cab ride, he thought I was just bad at math but I was really just incredibly thankful to be alive and home.

Actually it isnt 222% tip. He paid twohundred twenty two of the price. Removing the price from what he paid leaves the tip. twohundred twenty two minus one hundred leaves 122% tip. Even as totally wasted math major you should be aware of that...\n\nPS: sorry for the numbers in words, got an error message "We don't allow that many numbers"
He paid more than double the price, so it has to be more than 200%
If you don't tip aka 0% tip, you still pay the price. If you tip 100%, you pay the price and then the same amount again as tip.\nTipping two hundred per cent requires you to pay three times the price.
