  • Your scales might be off a bit. A standard US half barrel keg weighs 29.7 lb empty, 160.5 lb full.

  • Might depend on how much of a body the beer has...a keg of Guiness may weigh more than a keg of Miller Light. But that's me "spit ballin' "

    • Guinness is LIGHTER ale. That's why it floats on top of a black and tan. (Plus Guinness often comes in plastic kegs that weigh about 20 lbs, instead of the nearly 30 that metal ones do.)
