Easy ... Use super glue and your foot...
Acetone usually works. Nail polish remover is usually acetone. Careful, acetone may also bleach carpet, damage linoleum flooring, and/or damage whatever varnish is laid down on a hardwood floor, I'm not sure.
Acetone absolutely removes varnish...just ask my mom's kitchen table and 9 yr old me.
