She's gonna give up about the fourth or fifth time she has to bail him out of jail after getting arrested for DUI, for penny-ante drug possession, or whatever minor scrape with the law he's in this week. Or after they move in together and she finds out he can't hold down a job and doesn't have good enough credit to put his name on a rental application. Or worst of all, he starts hitting her.
