Kinetic energy is one-half of mass times the square of velocity. Get that pug moving fast enough and it'll knock you on your ass out of velocity more than anything else.
My roomie was dumped by her girlfriend when her pug tried that. He kicked it across the room. She tried to get him busted. No one was willing to prosecute since it was viewed as self-defense.
