        Putting asterisks around it adds emphasis since I can't use HTML "bold" tags in a comment. Married as opposed to civil union, since many people (including myself) view civil unions as an inferior substitute for actual marriage.

            Agreed, but it is basically the LGBT rights movement's equivalent to "separate but equal". Which means separate and inferior.
