I had new employee orientation at the YMCA today. I showed up with a hangover, a black eye, scratches down my arm, and a sore throat from puking gin and keystone.

haha is this airport?
haha i think this is every YMCA ever created. and Keystone = college.
is this the ryan family ymca in fort worth?
Wow. You werent' exactly exuding Christian virtue or fitness. Is your boss planning on using you as some kind of "What NOT to do" examplar?
I'm really hoping this is someone from the Eugene, OR YMCA...Keystone was the tip off for me
sounds like you fit right in...
meh.........there just battle wounds from a epic night........
as a ymca childcare employee in wa state i got a kick out of this
I've worked for the YMCA for 5 years and this sounds like every day of my life. Hungover is the only way to show up to work at the YMCA!
another former y employee here-- i used to coach youth sports at 8 am on saturday mornings and would show up with the club stamps still on my hands and hung the F over hahaha
You sound like my Co-worker, i work at the YMCA I'd be having a talk with her if the number was local [=
so like did you get the job or what? lmao
haha, i work at the YMCA in saginaw MI.
every person there has shown up at least once still wasted from the night before
At least your training was only 2 hours, the last Y training I went to was 8 hours.
HAHA! I had to laugh :) I work for the Y as well and this fits right in...
i worked at the Y for 4 years, 2 of them probably spent hungover, well done haha
As as fellow YMCA employee, I say, WAY TO REPRESENT! HA! :)
Those are the best orientation days.
Thats Badass, i admire the perseverance
We are gonna stay at the YMCA!!!!
Psh been there
You can't work at the Y and ever be sober.
I work at one and every saturday the front desk staff is either still drunk or hungover. Thats how it goes haha.
Gin and keystone? I'm disappointed in you, dear.
Yep, sounds about right for the Y. I was just impressed that most people *made* it to orientation. Why do they schedule them for Saturday or Sunday at like 8 AM? They're just asking for it.
Yeah I got the job, just had to sit through that 2 hour orientation with the director talking the whole time, followed by a 6 hour shift at the front desk. It was brutal. I'm off to work again today, still sporting a now greenish purple bruise. Too bad a black eye is hard to cover with make up!
haha, Dallas area right there...
I have worked for the YMCA for over 8 years... I heard the best motto one time from one of my staff member... "You can't work at the Y without some sort of addiction"... As a Director, we're used to staff being hungover... at least you made it to work though!
ahaha best thing ever.....i work at the y too and go in hung over often
being a ymca director, i can tell you thats exactly what we look for hahaha
