  • Why does everybody assume Occupy Wallstreet protesters don't have jobs / are freeloading hippies? I've seen teacher, pilots, and doctors holding signs. I think most people don't understand that the Occupy protests are about. I'd rather be on the side fighting for my rights. I also don't think it's fair to exploit workers, take advantage of people financially, and pay little to nothing in Taxes, so I'm glad someone's sticking up to the corporations.

    • Many of them don’t although some do take a day or two off to help support a cause they believe in, which is why we allow protests in this great country. While I don’t think the majority of employees do this, it obv does happen but saying they pay little to nothing in taxes is the one area you’re completely off base here

      • Bank of America, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, and Chevron are just some of the few corporations that make billions of dollars and pay absolutely nothing in taxes. I'm not off base at all.

  • Occupy wallstreet bitches! So what field did you put every waking moment of your day into that pays more than someone who busts their ass at a physically demanding job day in and day out, and only makes enough to scrape by? You can't say that's fair and just. Obviously you had helping hands. Where's the majoritys help?

    • It looks like someone has never taken an economics course in their life. Simple supply and demand, more people are willing to do physical labor than are capable of doing jobs that are demanding intellectually, whether or not that’s fair. Also, the most wealthy pay by far (over 90%) of the taxes in this nation, which goes to things like welfare, unemployment and countless other things

  • I love that they're all complaining about inequality of wages while not working or even looking for a job

    • Your future depends on people standing up for your rights. We humans are fucked up little fuckers who will fuck one another over badly if we're not kept in check.

  • Anybody that doesn't support occupy wall street is simply either a fool or a pawn of the rich. The US is far from great, it's allowing the protests because it's trying to condemn Syria for cracking down on their protectors. With trillions having gone to the banks, whatdoes the working class get?

  • We allow protests to an extent, these people are illegally assembled without a permit or proper sanitation facilities shitting in the streets and doing drugs. They have created a pubic health hazard and must be removed. Erecting a hobo shanty town is in a legal form of protest. Enjoy your OC spray, hippies.
