  • Anything with enough alcohol takes off sharpie. Meths soaked cloths are also good for removing make-up. And getting drunk on fumes.

  • Sharpie is even more soluble in ethanol or acetone, and fairly soluble in isopropyl alcohol. Actually, this is true for almost all pen/marker inks. This is the most basic middle school chemistry, people.

  • it does work on red. I used red sharpie for fake blood recently, On my face. Not the best idea. It was, however, easier to get off than Crayola's so-called washable markers.
