I did nails for 15 years in a wealthy area of Florida I made so much money I use to laugh all the way to the bank! I made 80,000 in 2000 thank you idots for my hugh saving account!
For one--just cause we think about this doesnt mean we fail at being girls..i have had acrylics for over a year at a time--and when I first get them...WIPING IS NOT EASY....but fuck them nails-- au natural is the way to go--plus that way you can paint them as much as you want!! AND THEYRE SANITARY!! :):)
2:24: I totally agree..there are other ways to make your nails look good without acrylics. I've had acrylics a few times and I hated it each time..I always end up tearing them off after a few days. Now, I just grow my nails out and I got Konad(its a nail art system), so I don't need to go get pedicures at all..I do it all myself! And, they look better then fake nails.
I totally agree with June 16, 2009 10:12AM . I grew up in a very nice area of N.Virginia and all the girls wear them,except they are short. Once you start adding length, crazy neon colors, and designs they are most definitely TRASHY!!
i was in the hospital for lymphoma and this chick started her job one day, got a manicure the next(with the acrylic nails), and the day after...she got fired cuz its not sanitary. so if you wonder about that, you gotta think about the shit that is gonna linger under those nails lol...
if acrylics are trash why do people get them for prom? i think acrylics can be trashy but thats when they're like three inches long and lime green. i have acrylics and they are just white tips so its like a a french manicure with barely a quarter inch longer than my regular nails.

i've had acrylics for a few years now... no problems with that, ever. try using this thing called... toilet paper? maybe you've heard of it... works a lot better than your hand.
jesus christ! its like normal nails just thicker and maybe a little longer. ive gotten them done twice ever in my life and they werent that hard to maneuver. the ppl making a big deal of this are just idiots who just cant handle em. that simple
I've had acrylics for 3 years straight. you grow on them. most people can't tell they're acrylics unless I don't get them filled at the right time.
just because someone has acrylics doesn't make them trashy, not everyone has "talons".
you get used to doing everything with them. I took mine off once and took a week to get back to doing things normal ways. but I just put them back on.

Ummm a manicure does not equal acrylic nails. A manicure consists of cleaning, clipping, filing, lightly buffing, trimming cuticles, and possibly painting NATURAL nails. I get manicures all the time and work in the healthcare field, and that is perfectly acceptable and cleaner than acrylics. Bacteria can grow under fake nails much easier than natural ones.
i dont wear acrylics but my aunt has worn them over the years for as long as i can remember and she is in no way shape, or form, trashy. so heres the person defending acrylics who doesnt wear them. your wait is over 9:21, its happening.
WTF? It's not like you stick your fingers *in* your asshole when you wipe. Nails and crack run horizontally-- and plenty of toilet paper in between the two.
