He was like an artic tracker. Walked ten paces from the tree, then 15 paces from the mailbox, dug down in the snow, and pulled up the case of beer he hid from his parents out there. It tasted like ice cold success.

Why didn't he just start at the mailbox?
the mailbox is part of the grid... when drunk we always use two points of reference... that way when i'm swaying my way out to plant it while half gone i can refind it when i need to be totally gone.
My mother always asks why I make a snow fort every winter at my age. And be careful with cans if it gets too cold out
Now THIS is the kind of out of the box thinking that I like to see from our younger generation!
