    I saw on the History channel, that every passenger aboard the Mayflower was rationed one gallon of beer a day. To answer the question, they probably started drinking in the late morning.

    the whole reason they stopped was because they ran out of beer, so I'm going to guess when they got the next batch brewed...thirsty thursdays came before thanksgiving.

    Actually, the pilgrims drank only alcohol. Water was disgusting to them because a) they never drank it and b)they had a habit of defecating in their water sources.
